Are Fast Wagons Going Extinct? 2007 E63 AMG Wagon

Surprisingly, there seems to be no shortage of W211 E55 AMG Wagons recently. Certainly a greater number of examples have hit the market in 2020 than the previous couple years. What’s a little stranger to see is an E63 AMG Wagon (The facelifted W211 AMG variant). With only 170 produced and 67 of them being 2007 model years, this AMG is quite rare. It’s offered here by Gas Motorcars in Atlanta for $42,979.

This specific example shows only 36k miles on the clock and is finished in a stately Brilliant Silver Metallic (775) over Anthracite and Black Nappa hide. The trim a nicely kept Birdseye Maple accented with an Anthracite alcantara headliner. Although most features were standard on these cars, much is still worth mentioning. Including the iconic rearward facing, third row seats.

This specific example is offered with a clean carfax, ample maintenance notes, and a clean bill of health from more than a decade of dealership service. We all know the station wagon is destined to become obsolete with the ever growing presence of SUV’s, especially the performance variants. That being said, we’ll always have a soft spot for these hugely practical hot rods capable of hauling a family around the Nurburgring faster than a 911. Values are sure to keep climbing in the coming years and low mileage examples like this will soon be relegated to collectors garages.
