Listed here just outside of Atlanta, GA this 2008 CLK63 Cabriolet could be a great deal just in time for the holidays. We found this one listed on Autotrader for $16,499 showing just over 97k on the clock. The seller mentions his family situation has changed and he’s currently hunting for an E350 sedan so there could be a good trade deal to be had for those of you looking to jump behind the wheel of an M156 powered convertible.
Finished in Black (040) over Black Nappa Leather, this CLK63 AMG won’t be winning any originality contests but that’s a good thing for the seller as it should be able to find a new home quickly. That being said, potential buyers should be practicing their due diligence before rushing into this car before the new year. No mention of typical maintenance items aside from tire and brake condition is given. Whether head bolts are a cause for concern here or not on this example, we’d love to see a note on that work and if the car still needs it. The seller does mention that the soft top was replaced last year by the prior owner.
Cosmetically the car looks to be in nice shape. The interior, although in need of a thorough conditioning, seems to be in nice shape and has held up well as a convertible in the south. The wood trim doesn’t appear to be faded and the factory COMAND unit doesn’t seem to suffering from any issues or fading. Options include heated and ventilated multi contour seats, keyless go, and all-weather front mats. Note that many options like xenon headlamps and active cornering were standard on the AMG models at this time.
For the asking price, we have a hard time debating the value proposition on a CLK63 Cabriolet with under 100k miles. It does seem this car has been through several owners in a short amount of time so a thorough PPI may be in order.
