Clean & Underrated: 2003 CLK55 AMG

Listed for sale by one of our readers, Edd, in the UK, this 2003 CLK55 AMG is clean and well-optioned. The W209 AMGs are still underrated on today's market and are a huge value proposition for people looking to get into a newer-age AMG without breaking the bank. Power from the naturally aspirated M113 was increased to 362 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque in comparison to it's predecessor W208 CLK55.

This AMG is in remarkably nice condition. Currently the car has 122k miles and according to the seller comes with full maintenance receipts from Mercedes-Benz and Indie repair shops. Accompanying documentation like this certainly helps from a value standpoint and should help the next owner feel confident in the car. The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver (744) with Anthracite Leather covering the interior. The CLK55s come with AMG specific body work including both bumpers and side skirts. In addition, the twin-spoke AMG wheels help to add to the aggressive yet mature look of this coupe. One of our favorite features is the ability to roll all windows down with no B pillar; pillarless coupes will always be cool.

This CLK55 is nicely optioned with Keyless Go, Heated & Orthopaedic AMG specific seats, Electric Rear Sunshade (rarely optioned), as well as an upgraded music system. The seller states that mew Brembo brake rotors and pads all round were installed 2k miles ago and the steering wheel has been refurbished by Royal Steering Wheels. In addition, four new Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tires have been installed within the last 3k miles.

The car is currently offered with an asking price of £7750 ($10,500 USD). In our opinion, that's a lot of bang for your buck. The car has been enthusiast owned and well-cared for with the receipts to support that claim. The UK is a tight market so if you're in the market, you may want to act quickly.
