Granite Grey Metallic 2005 E55 AMG

Thanks to one of our followers, @glacier_210 on Instagram, for submitting his 2005 E55 AMG to us. The car currently sits with 109k miles and can be found listed here on eBay in St. Augustine, FL for $17,000 or best offer. The car is Granite Grey Metallic (747) over Anthracite leather (251) which compliments the car very well. Per the AutoCheck report, the car is accident free and comes with a clean bill of health. Recent service and maintenance includes the following items:

- New radiator

- Restored headlight lenses

- Transmission mount

- Ball joints

- Flex disc

- Repaired vacuum leak

The car also comes highly optioned with distronic, parktronic, panoramic roof, push button start, sun shades on both rear doors, ventilated seats, and folding mirrors. The current owner has owned it since October 2019 and has put 6k of the 109k miles on the car. According to the seller the car has been garage-kept it's entire life and does present well in the photos. Paint appears to remain glossy with no clear coat issues. Maybe it's the little purist voice inside our heads but we'd like to see the original hood star and amber corner lights back on the car.

The driver seats are known to be a common wear items on these enlarged bolsters, however, this example appears extremely well kept considering it's over 100k miles. No lights appear on the dash and while we're fans of the all weather mats ourselves, we hope the OEM AMG mats are included. The car remains largely stock mechanically with the exception of a resonator delete and X pipe modification to the exhaust. A stock W211 E55 already sounds beastly so we imagine this only amplified the experience.

The W211 AMGs are certainly becoming harder to find, especially in this kind of condition. Equipped with a M113 supercharged engine, the car produced 469 hp and 516 ft-lb of torque which was capable of 0-60 mph in just over 4 seconds. Most commonly found are the 2003 year models which are known to have the transmission fluid issues. If you're in the market for one of these supercharged beasts, we'd recommend 2004+ although with proper due diligence, a 2003 could prove to be just as rewarding. Considering the condition, color, and mileage of this 2005 E55, we think asking price is very fair and expect this to appreciate in value over time.
