Recently listed by our friends RMC Miami, this 1993 500E appears to be in great condition with only 68k-miles. The car is finished in Arctic white over grey leather which is a nice contrast to the typical palate of colors found on 500E's. The lower cladding has been paint matched to match the primary Arctic white colors which provides a more modern look. In addition, the front-end was update to look like a 94/95 model which included a new hood, grill, and headlights. The 500E stands apart from it's other w124 counterparts with a more aggressive stance thanks to flared front and rear fenders matched to widened bumpers. The wood and leather appear to be in great shape with only minor hairline cracks visible around the center console wood. This car was previously owned by one of our friends and followers, @fish2556 on IG, and if you haven't seen for yourself, he has quite the collection. Earlier this year we were able to successfully help Fish acquire a low mileage ML55 which happened to conveniently be located minutes away from him... wish they could all be that convenient.
The car is accompanied by a healthy amount of maintenance records. Most recently in July of 2019, the car received new rear self-leveling shocks, accumulators, bushings, sway bar links, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, transmission cooler lines, and more. Based on the pictures provided, we believe the rear height control valve needs replaced or adjusted as the rear seems to sit high. The engine (M119 5.0) and transmission are reportedly strong and operate with no issues. A big plus for this car, almost necessary at this point in time, is the replacement of the upper wiring harness. We'd also recommend inspecting the lower as it was also biodegradable and will need replaced as well if not already done. All things considered, this is a very nice example of a 500E in a color that you can't be too picky about. With only 68k-miles on the clock, this car has a lot of of life left ahead.
