No Reservations on this No Reserve Sleeper: 2007 CLK63 Cabriolet

We love talking about undervalued cars and to us the W209 CLK63 Cabriolet almost defines that category in 2020. Produced for only a few years and in relatively low numbers, these cars are bound to become more desirable in the future when there really wasn’t an alternative for a 4 seat, open top AMG Mercedes. This specific example has less than 7 hours left under auction and can be found listed here on Bring a Trailer.

The car is finished in Cubanite Silver Metallic (723) over Amaretta Nappa leather (805) and features burl walnut trim, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless Go, a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 surround-sound audio system, and a glovebox-mounted six-disc CD changer. Although it breathes fire under the hood, the exterior is refreshingly understated compared to the AMG’s in showrooms today. AMG-specific components include revised Sport bumper covers, side skirts, and a trunk spoiler. Take note, this is the only M156 equipped car with dual-exit exhaust further emphasizing it’s sleep status in traffic.

The car seems to be decently well kept but the Amaretta Nappa interior could use a lengthy detail and deep clean. The largest indicator on these interiors is typically residual dirt on the light colored seat belts but look closely and you’ll see the seats could use a cleaning and conditioning as well. This being said, the car shows well for 75k miles and definitely serves its purpose as a daily driver or weekend tourer.

Hopefully the next buyer will be able to grab this car in the upper teens and enjoy it for years to come. We’ve always thought the CLK63 Cabriolets are great cars to hold on to and we fully expect them to see a boost in value as they seem to have reached a trough where they are.
