We’ve had the opportunity to write up and review countless low mileage future classics like CLK55’s, E55’s, and even an ultra low mile W220 S500. Today’s feature is a first for us in the low-mileage category. Currently listed here on Hemmings for $43,990, this 2009 C63 AMG displays only 2,700 miles on the odometer and could possibly be the closest you’ll get to buying a new W204 C63 AMG. This car’s listed with Performance Auto Gallery out of Gaithersburg, MD where the inventory seems to have something for every enthusiast. From a 1998 Diablo SV to a 1970 440 Six-pack 'Cuda, and even a lowrider Tacoma, it’s no surprise this C63 is in good company.
Finished in Palladium Silver (792), this may be the poster car for the C63 AMG in the late 2000’s. Thankfully, every photo looks like it was resurrected from a Car and Driver shoot in 2009 and really seems to do the car justice. Typically at this point we’ll discuss some exterior flaws or cosmetic items we’d want to address but really this C63 appears to be as clean as one would hope given the mileage. The seller/photographer has done a great job of capturing the lines and features that typically go overlooked on these AMG-tuned W204’s in the glamour shots. From the flared fenders to the prominent nose, and the sweeping belt line, we’re falling in love with these cars all over again.
The Black Leather and Alcantara-trimmed cabin are equally as moving. It’s refreshing to see one of these cars in such “untouched” condition and it helps remind us how revolutionary the W204 C63 AMG was as an immediate follow up to the W203 C55’s. The interior styling really captured the new idea of Mercedes Benz design at the time and even managed to incorporate that fun flip-up COMAND screen. Our eagle eyed readers will notice a fun hint at something special in this cabin- the alcantara-accented steering wheel. This was one of the subtle cosmetic hints that this C63 was built with an early P30 Performance package, which also included a limited slip differential, larger 2-piece front brakes, tuned suspension, and the removal of the top speed limiter.
As this post is as much about the photos as it is the car, we have to talk about the price and although there’s a lot of options for buyers north of 40k USD, this still seems like a deal considering the mileage and condition. Onlookers will be quick to point out a lack of information regarding typical M156 maintenance points so buyers should plan on spending a little more money on preventative maintenance. Ask us and that money should be well-spent as it can only add to the store of value that is this 2,700 mile 2009 C63 AMG.
