Today’s E55 is a car we’ve watched for more than a year on the marketplace. Although several of these cars are in circulation, it’s hard to forget the photos used for this one. This 2001 E55 AMG can be found listed here on Craigslist out of Los Angeles, CA. It’s priced at $14,000 and is most likely worth the asking price but prospective buyers may need to pull more information out of the seller before stroking that check as mileage isn’t even listed.
This car was listed last Fall with the same photos for $15,000 and close to the same description. The listing notes it as a Designo car and more specifically, it's the Designo Espresso Edition. This special Designo edition consisted of Light-Brown Nappa leather trimmed throughout the interior, a maple wood trimmed and charcoal steering wheel, custom colored floor mats with Nappa leather piping, curled maple wood interior trim, and rich Mocha Black (033) paint - a color that was not available to customers unless ordered as a part of the Espresso Edition package.
Although we appreciate the professional-style photography, it doesn’t help us get a complete understanding of the car as whole. We’re confident the seller is willing to send more shots if prompted and the car certainly appears to be in stellar shape per the photos given even though there's no telling when exactly the photos were taken given these same shots were used in last year's listing. With some solid due diligence, this car has the potential to be a great find for E55 AMG shoppers.
